Be More Successful with A Faster Windows Operating System

Old PCs which comes with old Window programs are probably slower. However, this does not mean that you should go on and verify the new personal computer models in your locality.

Though not everyone would agree, old computer programs are less complicated and very easy to make use of. Their conveniences lie in their own simplicity. Its ordinary for old personal computers to slow down just a little bit. But hey, if your computer takes 15 minute booting up and 10 minutes loading basic applications then something is definitely wrong. Try doing the following speed up Windows tips:

> Remove any unused programs.
Your PC might still be holding programs that have not been utilized for a long time. Scan the programs listed in the add/remove programs menu in the control panel. Remove the programs you have not used for some time. Freeing up disk space will no doubt speed up your windows program.

> Update drivers.
Hardware drivers take up minor space but they dictate on how fast your Windows accessories will be. Many improvement have been done on hardware over time. Connect to the Internet and look for updates for them. This guideline never fails to speed up Windows 2000 and ME.

> Remove the Starting Windows message.
Windows 95 and 98 has this certain starting windows message that delays computer booting. Remove this option to speed up Windows 98. Select to C:\ and search for Msdos.sys, right click on it and unmark the read-only option. Open the file in Notepad, select over to text Options in the file. Add: Add BootDelay-0. You may choose to make your booting|want to change your PC booting faster by setting add Logo=0 to take away the Windows logo through start-up.

> Optimize start menu.
Speed up Windows by having quick access to your start menu. Click on Start and go to Run. Type Regedit in the bar and press Enter. Access the Registry editor folder named HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. If you see a MenuShowDelay, double click it and alter the value of data field to 0. This will load Start program without any delay at all.

> Turn off active desktop.
For Windows 98, go to the Display Properties settings and switch to Web tab. Unmark the option for View my Active Desktop as a Web Page. This easy step will definitely speed up your Windows 98. computer problem troubleshooting
